Position: Technician
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Scale: $17-24/hour
Experience Required: No experience required! On the job training is provided as well as OSHA 10 certification and Virginia Ship Repair Safety Orientation.
Job Description: The technician is expected to learn and perfect how to prepare for projects, clean tanks/units, maneuver and connect supply & return hoses (1/2” – 4” in diameter) throughout ships and in confined spaces/locations, perform mechanical installations & reconnections, pump operation & procedures, troubleshooting (as required), all while maintaining professionalism and a clean & safe work environment.
The opportunity to learn electrical work, pipe fitting, welding, and over the water pumping operations as requested or need.
Schedule:
- 8-14 hour shifts
- Overtime
- Day & night shifts as required
- Weekend work
- Possibility of working on holidays
Qualifications:
- Pass 7-year background check
- Drivers License
